The NYSDOH Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management (OPCHSM) and the Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP), with sponsorship of their colleagues at New York State, Long Term Care associations, are delivering a technical assistance workshops covering Emergency Preparedness (EP) and Life Safety Code (LSC). The workshop will provide training, discuss ongoing preparedness activities and resources already available to nursing homes that can help facilities be prepared for disasters and be compliant with new regulatory requirements put forth by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for EP and LSC.
There are two parts to the workshop program each covering unique, though related content. Part One will address EP and Part Two will cover Life Safety code, Fire Safety and Certificate of Need requests.
