Course Description:
In support of the Local Health Department (LHD) Points of Distribution and Dispensing Survey, this optional webinar will provide LHDs with training and recommendations to complete the required forms within the Survey Management and Response Tool (SMART). Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will provide a demonstration of the POD SimPLER software, which assists POD planners in precisely estimating POD throughput/processing times and staffing numbers.
Course Objectives:
- Participants will learn best practices for updating the LHD Baseline Data, County Staging Site Info, and POD Security Form sections in SMART
- Participants will learn how to use POD SimPLER to assist in determining POD operation throughput needs, as well as assess other aspects of clinical operations planning for both vaccine-based and pill-based scenarios.
- Participants will be able to identify POD planning resource documents located on HCS
