This optional webinar will provide Local Health Department (LHD) staff with information and recommendations for updating their MCM Distribution plan or related planning documents in conjunction with guidance to be released in the 1st Quarter of the 2018-2019 Budget Period for completion of the BPR-8 deliverable.
The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP) continues to provide planning recommendations and technical assistance to ensure local plan support and reflect current federal and state guidance on Medical Countermeasure (MCM) distribution.
To ensure timely dispensing of MCM’s to a county population, all local health departments should have a plan in place to ensure the ability to appropriately receive, stage, store and re-deploy medical countermeasures in the event of a public health emergency. This includes operation of a County Staging Site, as well as considerations for engaging community partners in transportation, security, and personnel resources
