Course Description

The eFINDS Train-The-Trainer (TtT) course is designed to develop a cadre of facility-based trainers who can provide ongoing, in-house instruction on the Evacuation of Facilities in Disaster System (eFINDS). This tracking application, housed on the New York State Health Commerce System (HCS), is used by healthcare facilities to monitor patient and resident movement during emergent, urgent, or planned evacuations.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate eFINDS Proficiency: Perform basic functions to initiate, track, and repatriate evacuees during an operation.
  • Establish Training Programs: Understand the requirements to set up successful eFINDS training courses or drills for individuals or groups at their facility.
  • Scenario Application: Talk through basic evacuation scenarios and explain the role eFINDS plays in tracking evacuee movement.
