Course Description
This course provides awareness-level training for healthcare personnel likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release or to be the "first receivers" of contaminated patients arriving from an incident site. It aligns with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(i) and the "OSHA Best Practices for Hospital-Based First Receivers". Participants learn to initiate an emergency response by notifying proper authorities while taking no further action beyond their immediate safety and notification.
